python-desktop-agnostic software package provides Python bindings for libdesktop-agnostic, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-desktop-agnostic
python-desktop-agnostic is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-desktop-agnostic package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-desktop-agnostic *
You will get with python-desktop-agnostic package name, version, architecture and description in a table
